Active Membership

Requirements for active membership are similar to the introductory membership, with a few requirements:

  1. Attendance at rehearsals is expected so all members are learning the songs at the same time and the need for repeating is diminished.  Things do come up and if you cannot make a rehearsal, contact your section leader or fellow choir mate, in advance, if possible.

  2. Members are expected to take part in the final rehearsal, with the band before a performance.  If extenuating circumstances exist, the choir director should be informed.  We take great pride in producing the highest quality performance for our audiences, so all members’ participation is very important.

  3. Members are also expected to participate in all performances and to be present for sound checks.  If an exception is needed, it should be discussed as soon as possible with the choir director.

  4. Members are expected to  pay dues of $35.00 a month.  Dues are payable the first rehearsal of the month.  Members can pay ahead if they wish.  Dues can also be paid on the web-site via PayPal and can also be set up to pay automatically.  Typically, we take a break after the Christmas shows and resume the last week of January or the first week in February.   Dues are payable for January as that is a great help to paying our expenses.  If dues are a financial hardship, please speak (confidentially) to the Dues Collector.  No one will be excluded from the choir for financial reasons, and dues forgiveness is kept strictly confidential.

Complete guidelines and policies for active members are provided in the membership binder. It is expected that each member will read through and understand all the material provided. Section leaders and volunteers on the Membership Committee are available to answer questions and provide assistance whenever it is needed.
